How many work hours
will AI give you back?

AI's real advantage isn't doing the work faster. It's taking the manual, repetitive work off your team and handing the hours back, to spend on what actually grows the business. Here's that number, in work hours, and what that capacity is worth.

Frequently asked questions

How the AI ROI calculator works, and how OneSeven Tech thinks about the numbers.

How do you calculate the ROI of AI?+
We start with the manual work AI can take off your team, measured in work hours returned per year. By team it's people × hours a week on the work × 52 × the share AI can handle; by volume it's tasks a month × 12 × minutes each × the share AI can handle ÷ 60. Those hours are valued at your fully-loaded labor cost to show the annual value of the capacity returned, with a rough enterprise-value figure as a secondary lens.
What is a "work hour," and why measure AI that way?+
A work hour is one hour of human time spent on a task. AI's biggest advantage is handing those hours back, so measuring in work hours keeps the focus on the capacity your team regains, time you can reinvest in higher-value work, instead of an abstract efficiency percentage.
How much work can AI actually automate?+
For repetitive, rules-based work it's often high. The calculator uses a coverage benchmark drawn from 130+ builds: roughly 75% (conservative), 85% (typical), or 95% (ambitious) of the targeted work. It's the one number we set for you, and we pin the exact figure together before any build.
Does using AI to cut OpEx mean cutting jobs?+
No. We automate work, not people. The point is to hand capacity back so your team stops doing manual, repetitive tasks and moves to higher-value work: handling more volume, improving customer experience, or growing without adding headcount.
How does removing OpEx turn into enterprise value?+
Recurring operating value maps to EBITDA roughly one-to-one, and companies are valued at a multiple of EBITDA. The calculator applies a multiple you choose (commonly 3 to 10 times) to show a rough enterprise-value figure. It's a secondary lens; the annual value returned is the number that matters most.
What kinds of work can AI take over?+
Manual, high-volume, repetitive work: contact and intake handling, back-office and admin, claims and underwriting processing, document-heavy operations, and outsourced or BPO tasks. If it's rules-based and eats hours, it's a candidate.
How accurate is the calculator?+
It's a directional estimate based on the numbers you enter, not a guarantee. On a real engagement we validate every input against your actual workflows before you invest a dollar.
What does OneSeven Tech do?+
OneSeven Tech is an applied AI transformation partner. We embed with operationally heavy mid-market companies, remove manual work with AI, and measure the result, turning excess OpEx into EBITDA. Partners, not consultants, with the math agreed before you spend on implementation.

Let's make these numbers real.

We'll pressure-test them, show you where the work hours are hiding, and scope the first build.
